Where to Ask Questions
Last updated 8/22/24
There are lots of ways to ask questions (and get answers) at BWCJA. Where to go first largely depends on the subject matter of your question:
- Issues related to your child’s interactions with their teacher (behavior, homework, need for more help, etc.): Start by reaching out to your child’s teacher directly. If you cannot resolve the problem with them, follow up with Dr. Narrow.
- Big-picture BWCJA concerns or suggestions, teacher issues, questions related to district policies in relation to BWCJA: Email or call (314-353-8875) Dr. Narrow
- Grade-level questions: Try asking the fellow parents in your child’s grade-level Facebook group. These pages are not managed by the PTO but by parent volunteers.
- PTO-related concerns (PTO meetings and school events, volunteering, questions you would ask another parent about school procedures, resources and activities of interest for WCJA students, etc.): Try posting on the PTO Facebook page, attend a PTO general meeting, or contact the relevant board member.
- Questions related to your child’s or families’ social or emotional concerns:
- Call (314-353-8875) or email our school counselor, Dr. Sorenson
- District social and emotional support hotline for students/parents: 314-345-6900, studentservices@slps.org
- Social and economic resources for families: www.slps.org/resources
- Other mental health resources: https://www.slps.org/Page/74687
- Paperwork, attendance, etc.: Call (314-353-8875) or email our school secretary, Ms. Arnold-Jones
- District-level concerns:
