Annual Fund Drive

Greetings, fellow BWCJA’ians!

Welcome to another exciting school year! As your PTO, we look forward to the fun-filled and inspiring year ahead. For those of you
new to our school, welcome! We’re glad your here. In case you’re not familiar with our annual fund drive, the PTO is our collective
voice to advocate for our teachers & students — and WE NEED YOUR HELP to accomplish our annual goals. As they say, it takes a
village and we’re grateful to have an incredible community at BWCJA.

Budget & Goal: To meet the approved 2023-2024 budget, we’ll need your help to raise approximately $47,000. (Lifts up jaw off
ground.) While this amount may sound daunting, it’s reachable when we break it down in to small parts and work together. For
example, a quick way to double your donation is to ask your employer if they match donations to 501c3s. Also, if able, sponsor a
table at our trivia night (date TBD) and/or donate a item/basket as a raffle item. Every penny counts & all actions help!

How do the funds raised help our school, teachers, and students?

  • Enrichment & Beautification ($10,750) - each year we provide each teacher and supporting personal with monies to help set up
their class room and teaching environments, creating a more enjoyable and safe learning experience.
  • Activities & Other events ($11,605) - student favorites like Field Day; playground/recess equipment; yearbook; celebrations &
grade promotions; technology subscriptions; field trips; school events (dance, trunk-or treat, movie night, socials) and more!
  • Wheeler Community ($3,750) - we are dedicated to building a stronger community together both inside and outside of our school
walls. Volunteers are needed for the following Committees: Caring, Equity & Inclusion, Beautification, and New Families
  • Fifth Grade ($15,000) - one of the most treasured experiences at BWCJA is the 5th Grade team building, enrichment trip. The
students look forward to this experience throughout their years at BWCJA. Your gift helps create life long memories & friendships.
  • Plus more - bottom line, if it’s needed, we find a way to fund it. If you’d like to review the approved budget, please reach out.

How can you help? To achieve our collective goal we need all hands on deck to help collect donations. As a road map, this year we
ask that each student sets a goal to help raise $100 (or more). If appropriate, feel free to ask grandparents, aunts, uncles & special
friends to help with your donation goal. If you’re curious, we don’t sell cookies, wrapping paper, or popcorn throughout the year.
We appreciate your busy schedules, so we do our best to keep things simple for all involved.

Tax deductible donations can be made via: (Don’t forget to check with your employer about gift matching, please).
